Get ready for a festive street closure!

The Little Burgundy Street Festival changes its name to À l’ouest de la Dame!
As teased in our latest social media posts, there’s a lot happening on Notre-Dame Ouest this summer.

The cradle of Jazz (the Little Burgundy neighborhood) will host a 3rd edition of the street closing on July 12, 13 and 14. 🎉

In a festive, jazz atmosphere, SDC Les Quartiers du Canal will be offering a variety of kiosks and food offerings, coupled with numerous activities for young and old alike.
It’s the perfect opportunity to come and celebrate the start of summer with friends and family. ☀️

The program will be updated in the coming days, so stay tuned!

A little history:
Nicknamed “La Dame”, Rue Notre-Dame came into being in 1672. 👑
This major Montreal street is distinguished by its rich historical past, the diversity of its businesses, and its key role in the city’s economic and cultural development.
Walking down it promises vibrant moments that will remain engraved in your memory.
So it’s easy to see where our event name comes from!

À l’ouest de la Dame does indeed take place on Notre-Dame Ouest, but above all it’s in the heart of the cradle of jazz: Little Burgundy.

“Little Burgundy: the Harlem of the North is the birthplace of renowned jazz venues and international artists such as Oscar Peterson and Oliver Jones…”; MEM Encyclopedia.
