Last Tuesday, October 6, we gathered for the final merchants’ happy hour of the year at Cirka Distillery.
The evening unfolded in several parts:
Organized in partnership with Tourisme Montréal, this event provided an opportunity to discuss the benefits of joining their membership program, notably through a brief Q&A session with Damien Cussac, owner and founder of Le Trou Inc.—Griffintown’s must-try bagel shop—which has been a member since it opened.
The wonderful team at Cirka Distillery—Martin, Lise, and Gizmo—welcomed us with a tour of the facility, a tasting of their flagship products, and house-made signature cocktails. It is one of the few and earliest grain distilleries in Quebec.
The members’ happy hours we organize are designed to bring together all of our members—retailers, restaurant owners, healthcare professionals, creative professionals, and others—so they can meet, discuss their realities, needs, aspirations, and challenges, build new relationships, and perhaps even forge new, sometimes unexpected, collaborations. We strongly believe in the power of community to promote our local and tourist neighborhoods.
We also enjoyed a delicious meal courtesy of the catering service from Chez Téta, a Lebanese restaurant that recently opened on Notre-Dame Ouest.
Thank you to everyone for coming to this wonderful evening!
