MONTRÉAL BORÉAL RETURNS TO THE CANAL DISTRICTS

After a successful first edition, the Saint-Henri district will once again host the event, but this time over a period of four weekends. The free, accessible program includes entertainment, a wide range of family and sports activities, winter installations and furniture that will be accessible at all times, even during the week, to make the most of children’s games and enchanted winter decorations, including winter pedestrianization (a first for the neighborhood), as well as a musical atmosphere with the participation of : Ian Kelly, Carotté, MightyKat and Matt Cerf and many others.

THE ESSENCE OF THE EVENT: EXPERIENCE THE FAR NORTH IN THE HEART OF MONTREAL

As we all know, getting out of Montreal and enjoying winter activities is difficult for many. That’s why Montréal Boréal is determined to bring Quebec folklore and cold-weather culture to the Quartiers du Canal. Cold, snowy weather is part of our heritage, and playing in the snow is one of our many hobbies during this period! So, for 1 month, visitors will be able to take advantage of a place with numerous play structures, for young and old, a commercial offer and a 100% local musical atmosphere!

At the heart of the dynamic Quartiers du Canal area, families are invited to take part in the various activities on offer. A multitude of children’s slides and games will be available on weekends, but will also be accessible during the week, so you can make the most of winter. Over the course of the weekends, you’ll be able to take part in a host of sporting activities, including : Trek Fat Bike will introduce you to this winter sport on an adapted course, TNT axe throwing will test visitors’ strength with their axe throwing cage, Burton will present a snowboarding course for toddlers, the ideal opportunity for children to try out this activity without leaving Montreal, a Laughter Yoga class for a fun wake-up call with Aileen Borruel, Laughter Yoga Facilitator and Founder of Joyful connections, the Mac Woodsmen team will be on hand to showcase their discipline and team spirit (and much more besides), Parks Canada snowshoe initiation + info booth, Centre Culturel Georges-Vanier Musical Soccer and Just Dance.
